How many times have you passed by a road traffic accident or a group of bystanders gathered around someone who has fallen or collapsed and you see people on mobile phones calling the Emergency Services but no one has any idea what to do. I Know I have many times but now I have the training and skill needed to provide care until the EMS arrive.

My aim is to provide as many people as possible with the necessary skills to know what to do when it matters most. Statistics show us that 130,000 people a year die from cardiac arrest but with AED’s being found in more and more places such as Supermarkets, Aircraft, Places of work as part of the First Aid Provisions we can train you to provide that vital support until EMS arrive. This we give you free when booked with Adult primary and secondary care or Child and Infant Primary and Secondary Care courses or you can book it as a separate course to complement existing emergency first responder qualifications you posses.

Most employers pay their First Aid personnel £5-£10 per week extra on their salary for the responsibility. So, even if you are paying for your course yourself not only are you adding a internationally recognised qualification to your CV, you will also have covered your costs in 7 –14 weeks as well as having the satisfaction of knowing what to do when it matters most.

Mike Jones first started teaching first aid over ten years ago originally to provide Scuba Divers with the knowledge and ability to deal with emergencies that might arise prior to completing their Rescue Diver course. After many courses and Instructor courses he expanded into the appointed persons market.

Since then, with the Advent of Emergency First Response courses we have now developed the business to cover First Aid Courses for all walks of life. Whether you need a First Aid at work qualification or re-qualification or just want to do a course for you own peace of mind we can provide the training with professional Instructors and in a relaxed friendly atmosphere.

EFR Courses are designed so the student does the studying at home in a relaxed, familiar environment so minimizing classroom time. All materials are included in our course costs which you get to keep and include student manuals, barriers, etc.

The Emergency First Response programme meets the HSE guidelines for appointed persons first Aid requirements, requirements for CPR and First Aid in the workplace (OSHA Guideline 29 CFR 1910.151), and incorporates the latest procedures for emergency patient care. Other organisations that recognise EFR as meeting their requirements are United States Coast Guard, The Boy Scouts of America, and the American Council on Exercise (ACE), to name a few.

We specialise in teaching care for Child and Infant first aid which, we believe, every parent should have a knowledge of and a must have for any child care professional. All the skills you will learn are exactly the same as those that would be provided by emergency personnel if they had arrived on the scene first.

Our Instructors come from a wide range of backgrounds. The Diving Industry, Construction Industry, Transport and Logistics and the Food and Weighing Industries so we can really tailor courses to suit your needs whether at your own site or at ours here in the Midlands where we are perfectly situated for the Motorway network as well as rail and public transport.

There are no hidden extras with our courses. All materials are included and we aim to make the learning experience as much fun as possible while making sure you meet the requirements for qualification. Maximum Student to Instructor ratio is 12:1 but we can teach smaller or larger groups.
